Learn-to-Fly Programme
Upfront Costs:
- Club membership $120 (for 1 year)
- RAANZ membership $70 (for 1 year)
- Medical certificate from your GP - valid for 4 years, if you are under 40 years old (or 2 years, if you are over 40)
- Pilot Logbook $30
- Dual instruction $160/hour for club aircraft (each lesson is usually 30 minutes flight time)
- Solo practice $130/hour in club aircraft
Annual Club Membership
- Flying member $120/year (microlight) or $140/yr (GA pilots) - includes unlimited free landings/take-offs at Te Anau Airport in club aircraft or your own aircraft
- Social (non-flying) $60/year
Club Aircraft Hire
- Alpi 200 or Alpi 300 $130/hour
Before hiring a club aircraft, pilots must have the appropriate Microlight Pilot Licence,
a valid Medical Certificate and a current 'rating' on the particular aircraft.
